Chapter 6) What do the White Americans think about the Blacks?

In order to go to eradicate an age-old problem, it is very important to go to the crux, the central part of it. If we want to eliminate Racism from the planet, we should think why it is caused. It all starts from mindsets. Let us have a look at what the White Americans think about the Black Americans, so as to go closer to solving this problem. 

A survey conducted by a leading american daily, after the murder of Floyd showed that  25% white americans would not like to have black people, living in their neighborhood. 35% think that blacks are less clean and have less sense of health and hygiene compared to themselves. 18% literally hate the blacks and term them as "wild animals" as on today. 38% of them would not like to have their kids being taught by a black teacher any where from kindergarten to college level. 55% of the whites would not like to have a black partner for marriage. 

What do all these figures suggest? They suggest that after 401 years of their arrival into America, the blacks are still considered as foreigners or aliens by around 1/5th of the white population there. This 20% of the white population is not ready to merge the blacks into the mainstream of american life, by any means. Their racists "school of thoughts" and discriminatory beliefs are very deep-rooted as they have been passed on to them from their forefathers, over the ages. Such thought patterns and beliefs are very hard to get rid off, in a short period. 

These whites do not like the way a black american looks. Most of them define them as "very ugly looking" with big noses, big lips and black skin. I have seen several questions on Q&A websites like Yahoo Answers, which ask such nasty questions like "Why do the blacks looks so ugly as they do?" OR "What should I do to keep a black person away from me all the time?" 

These whites do not like the way a black american speaks or talks mutually. They say it all sounds like "blah blah blah blah..." to them. It is all meaningless conversation for them all the time. 

These whites do not like how majority of blacks look at them, especially their white women hate the way black men look at them. They say, "I wonder why do they look at us, as if we are some meatloaf, ready to get eaten up by them?" OR "I can feel the hunger in their eyes, whenever they look at me. It's not a look but it's a stare... always. I feel as if they want to f... me so very hard." These white women do not like even black women not just black men. They would describe them as "dirty females with huge asses, round unattractive and heavy body, big noses and big lips". They would go further ahead and describe the black women as ill-behaved, arrogant, nasty, lacking in discipline and loud. They would often term black kids as chimpanzees or gorillas (monkeys). 

These white supremacists do not like the way in which the blacks drive their cars and other vehicles on american roads. They say they are too fast, always in a hurry and very uncivilized after an accident. They blame the black community for majority of road accidents on the US roads. 

The worst thing that these white people do not like about the blacks is their so-called "violent behaviour" in public life. They blame the black men, mostly of heights 6 feet and above, of being responsible for a major part of the violent crimes like murders, attempts of murder, rapes, loots, burglary and thefts in cities known for high crime rates like Chicago, St. Louis etc. They argue that the police behaviour towards the black men is so violent sometimes because of the overall impression they have created in the minds of the whites about them. Whenever a white police finds a black men violating a certain law on the streets of America, he suddenly becomes very tough mentally, extremely cautious of himself towards the danger that the black man can cause and totally aggressive physically. They say this is all due to the track record of the black men on US roads, streets and avenues. Their track record is so violent, so full of crime - that the white policemen are forced to behave in the way they are behaving now. Because of they do not behave like that, then the blacks would prefer to vandalize, break or destroy some public property, hurt the police man physically and then run away. They say so many such crimes have been recorded in the last few decades, wherein due to slight less strictness shown by the white policeman, the blacks have completely dominated them on the road - either hurting them, destroying some public property and running away or even killed some officer and ran away. So according to them, the way in which officer Derek Chauvin of the MPD (Minneapolis Police Department) behaved in the right manner in front of George Floyd. It was by chance that Floyd died as he had some physical ailments like heart and lungs problem before too. It was not entirely due to the compression that Chauvin and his fellow officers exerted on Floyd that he died, it was also due to the fact that Floyd was not physically fit as he was a sick man. So that is what kind of explanation a white guy would give about Floyd's murder. 

Among all the points made above, which reflect the mentality of white supremacists towards blacks, just the last point can be considered genuine and presentable. Crime data across the US do suggest that the blacks have been committing a major part of crimes like murder, attempt of murder, rape, loot, theft and burglary etc. It's a fact. The black community leaders should ask all the black men to change this ANY HOW because due to the violent behaviour of a very little few the entire black community is getting indicted. After all, it's not all of the black youth, who are violent by nature and more inclined towards committing crimes. It's a very little percentage, say 5% of them. This little percentage is responsible for demeaning and defaming the entire black community living inside the US. Hence, if the black priests, black clergymen and black leaders can persuade this extremely small group of black men, who have lost their paths and have got diverted to wrong ones, that violence and committing a crime is not the way to live as a human being, then the results would be very good, I guess. The crimes committed by the blacks in the US would substantially go down, resulting in the rise in the overall image of the black community. The whites would no more look at them with a suspicious eye. They would welcome them, instead. This would bring the two communities much closer to each other, which is so very much a desired thing right now. 

Apart from the above thing which I described in the last paragraph, all other things described in the paragraphs before that are such that they can be considered to be the faults of the whites and not of the blacks. How is a black person responsible if he looks less attractive or unattractive to a white person? What can he do if he has a big nose, a big set of lips and black skin? What can a black woman do if she is fatter than the white woman? What can a black kid do if he does not look as fair and cute as his white counterpart? What can a black young man do if he falls in love with a white girl so much that he is ready to die for her but she would prefer dismissing him away only because he is black??? For all these, just one thing comes to my mind as an ultimate solution - "CHANGE THE MINDSET". Yes, change your mindsets, Oh, White Supremacists!! Change them before its too late, before the entire black community does not explode upon you in an extremely desperate manner. Because if that happened, it would mean a huge loss of life, not only on the side of the blacks, but also on your side. After all, violence and hatred are bilateral always. They are like a double-edged sword, which can kill the enemy as well as the bearer of the sword. So if you, the white humans of America, continue to deal with the whites with your age-old heritage of hatred and prejudice towards them, they will treat you the same way - with hatred and with violence. Stop calling them ugly. Stop calling them "animals". Stop calling their women as shapeless creatures and other names. Treat all of them exactly as how you treat your other white people. Show respect and friendly behaviour towards them. Treat them like brothers and sisters. If you succeed in doing so, if you succeed in changing your wrong mindsets, then automatically your children will get the right education from you. The incidences of violence against a particular community will start declining, there will be no more disorder or chaos on the streets of America and then.. then all americans would be truly living in that America, which President Thomas Jefferson had dreamt about - that of peace, prosperity and progress - that of mutual harmony and consent. 

Changing of mindsets is the only solution towards how the white americans think about the blacks. There is no other real solution to this.
