Chapter (14) - Why Racism needs to end now? What is the Urgency??

In the US, the black americans have been suffering from this massive evil since more than 400 years now. Despite all efforts by great leaders like Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr. and others, so many black americans get insulted, harassed, hit or shot dead for no strong reason at all. How long will this continue? In Pakistan, tens of thousands of hindus live a pathetic life. Even if they work hard, they can never become rich or powerful or influential, as the government rules are such there that a person from any other religion than Islam, can never rise in status. How long will this continue?? Near Palestine, the jews of Israel have unlawfully occupied stretches of land in the Gaza strip since 50 years now, the one which actually belongs to the muslim people of Palestine. They are not vacating it at any cost. This again is pure injustice. How long will this continue?? The Uighur muslims of China are persecuted very badly by the Xi Ping government there. They live in concentration camps with no facilities of living at all. They are treated like animals by chinese soldiers and their law enforcement agencies. They do not have enough food to eat or good, decent and clean spaces to live. Their living conditions are deliberately kept so poor only because they belong to a religion which is different from the majority religion followed by the chinese people viz. buddhism. How long will this continue??

Dozens of such example can be quoted about racism still rampant and going on worldwide in various countries, under different ruling regimes. Similarly hundreds of examples can be quoted about racism seen in our daily lives, in cities and towns, in our so-called "civilized societies", every where around the world. It's a rather "undesired and unhealthy" situation that racism still prevails, in this day and age, in the 21 century, when many of us cry aloud with all their might, about human advancement and development in the spheres of science and technology. The question that arises, as a product of human common sense is "Are we really advanced and developed yet, when we still keep on dividing one human being from the other on the basis of skin color, wealth, social status and a hell lot of other things?? Can we really claim that our human society has really reached an optimum state of progress and advancement, when we keep on discriminating still, on the abovesaid factors, one day after the other??" Well, the answer is clearly NO. No, we can't claim that we are developing or advancing. We can not do that unless we do not stop racism, unless we do not stop seperating and dividing ourselves based on different factors. We are still very much living in a primitive stage, very similar to the stone-age, when there was no "education" around and humans used to live in caves, just like animals. At that time, there was no education but discrimination was there. As of now, we have education but discrimination has still not gone away. Isn't that ironic and tragic? I mean, the whole purpose of education has failed here. Education is meant to raise the intellectual level of a human being so that he focuses more on the advancement of all human beings and not just some of them. But that is not the case yet. The so-called, "most advanced country" in the world, the US, is still suffering from systemic racism as on today. This clearly means that Education has not achieved its purpose as yet. One of its goals, which is the establishment of equality among humans, has remained unfulfilled and it is yet to be achieved by us.

To summarize, let me say that sufferings and the torture of black americans, hindus living in Pakistan, muslims living in the Gaza strip of Palestine, those uighur muslims living in the Northern part of China and millions of such people can not continue forever as such an oppression of any group of people stands totally unjustified and it is totally uncivilized. It is a humungous scar on the face of humanity and a matter of utter shame for all us. Racism has to go. It has to get totally eliminated from the entire planet ANY HOW now. It is high time for that. Incidents like the extremely brutal murder of George Floyd, the black american on the streets of Minnesota, by suffocating him continuously for about 9 minutes, should never ever happen. Such incidents show that we are wild animals. Are we? We are not wild animals. We are human beings. So we should live like human beings here, in a civilized manner. We should treat each other equally, regardless of our skin color, language, religion, wealth, etc. That is the right way to live as a human being. So, let us all take an oath in front of God Almighty and pray to him:-

"Our Divine Father, Kindly help us all live like human beings on this planet as you have, with all your great grace, created us to be. Help us get rid of the monster of racism and bury it forever so that all the humans here, whether black or white, christians or muslims, speaking english or chinese, long or short, rich or poor - live peacefully like brothers and sisters of each other and progress well in our lives. Amen."

Finally, let me add that Racism makes one group of people miserable, unhappy, poor and devastated, due to another group of people. This creates a divide, a partition. This divide is the main cause of all the sufferings, pain and all the evils like war that exist on earth. If there will be no racism, there is will be no divide. If there will be no divide, there will be no war, no fights for trivial things. If there are no wars, there will no humiliations, no sufferings, no pains and finally no evil left. The result will be peace and progress all human beings on the planet. Yes all, not just a few of them.
